Knittle, Fay, Weasner & Duggins Genealogy

William Joseph Knittle's Allied Families

I have been researching my Knittle lineage for nearly 50 years. I have found quite a bit of information on the Knittle surname and have met many "cousins" who are also researching the name. Most of us have spent many tedious hours researching through census records, marriage and tax records, military records, wills and land records, etc. Researching on the internet over the years opened up many new doors  and simplified much of the work for us. We have found that most descend from Joseph Knittel (Knittle) who arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvanian 1753, aboard the ship, The Patience. He arrived from Oberesslingen, Germany. Most of his descendants spread out north and east in Pennsylvania. It is my hope that all Knittle surname researchers will find information here and also add their information to our databases and include their family trees.

I also have researched all of the Knittle allied families as well. I have added information and photos on several of these lines, including Amrhein and Sommer which are my grandmother's family lines. I will be adding more allied lines in the future related to the recent findings of my grandfather's adoption. Those names, my real blood and DNA connections, will be Fay, Miller, Weasner and Fredericks.
